•Wednesday Night Jumping has been great fun so far with some great results and competitive jump offs! Classes range from x-poles to 80cms and horse hire is available if you’d like to take part on a riding school horse

•Have you got your entries in yet for our Summer Show on 23rd July? We have a range of showing classes to suit all ages & abilities, including In-Hand Showing, Ridden Showing, Coloured Showing and Riding Club Horse. We are also running showjumping from x-poles to 80cms. Horse hire is available if you’d like to practise in your lessons and take part. Entry forms are available in the office.

•If you are interested in entering any of our Showing Classes in our Summer Show, why not book a place on our Showing Clinic on Sunday 9th July to find out exactly what each class entails, what to wear, how to turnout your horse, how to prepare an individual ridden show, or simply find out which class you & your horse/pony/favourite schoolie are suited to. Part one will be a one hour non-ridden session in the clubroom where you can ask all your questions, and part two is a chance to put it into practise in the arena. You can choose to come along to either part for £20 each or both together for £35.

•We are all looking forward to our annual Barn Dance on Saturday 19th August, with live band “The Third Rock”, BBQ grill & Haddows catering. It is set to be another great night organised by the Riding Club, kicking off at 6.30pm – 11.30pm. Tickets are available from the office at £12 to riding club members and £15 to everyone else with all proceeds going to the Air Ambulance Association

•Another date to put in your diary is our next Dressage Competition on 17th September. Entries won’t open until after the Summer Show but if you’re looking for a head start, check in the office or speak to your instructor to find out which tests to practise in your lessons!

Hacking is also a great way to build your confidence and balance in the saddle.

•Keep an eye out for new riding discipline “Polagge” a cross between dressage & polework/cavaletti! We will be arranging a training clinic and a competition over the summer. Watch this space, or ask Dawn for details!
