Grand Slam at Ingleston Equestrian Centre
Tannoch staff and liveries had a very successful 3 days at thewith
a total of 13 riders competing.
- The dressage saw Dawn Harrison awarded 3rd with TS Enchanted
Alice and 4th with TS Eddison in the elementary 53.
- Both Rachel McLaughlin and Michelle Wilson did
very well in their classes and just missed out on prizes In the showing classes.
- Pamela Liggett with Kaira was awarded 3rd in the in hand class.
- In the ridden coloured we saw Pamela awarded 5th place. The
family pony saw Rachel awarded 4th place and Tyler 5th.
- Suzanne Parker was awarded 2nd in the Riding
Horse class.
- Donna Baird, Janice McKenna, Laura Duncan and Michelle Wilson competing
in the intermediate working hunter with Michelle coming 4th in
this class riding Tino Twister.
- Michelle went forward for the open working hunter and again
was awarded 4th place.
- Donna Baird riding Ginger was awarded 5th in
the middleweight hunter class.
- Natasha won the in-hand coloured class with Lady Di and was
awarded 3rd in the ridden coloured class and 2nd in the tack n turnout and 5th
in the ridden tack n turnout.
- Rachel was awarded 6th place with Bobbi in the in-hand cob class.Kerrie
was awarded 4th in the ponyclub class.
- Next we saw the showman class with Kerry and the music of 5
colours by McFly did a very good display then Tyler Marshall on
his little pony BJ doing the twist and then we had a unique routine put together
from Rachel McLaughlin riding Bobbi with the
music Thriller this went down very well with the crowd and the judges alike and Rachel was
awarded 1st prize.
- The pairs display saw a very polished performance from Michelle and Natasha and
this took them into 2nd place.
- We then saw Natasha pick up 1st place in the junior Concur De
Elegance display followed by a spectacular win for Michelle Wilson in
the senior Concur De Elegance.
- This put all of Tannoch riders forward for the championship and saw Michelle pick
up the reserve champion. On the final day Kerrie competed in the
Mountain and Moorland classes and won the ridden class and got 2nd in the in-hand
class.
It was an exceptional number of rosettes collected from the 3 days (a total
of 30). All the competitors are delighted and what a pleasure to compete in such
superb equestrian facility which is a credit to the Scottish horse riding industry.
We look forward to returning to further events at this great facility.
