Tannoch Stables was established in 1989, by Dawn Harrison, and consists of over 200 acres of grazing land. It is situated on the edge of Palacerigg Country Park which comprises 40 hectares of thousands of native trees and shrubs. This environment provides a sanctuary for badgers, foxes, hares and roe deer as well as hawks and owls. The numerous paths throughout the park provide excellent hacking facilities for both the novice and the more experienced rider. The facilities include 2 outdoor all weather riding arenas and a floodlit indoor arena 180ft by 85ft. The site is protected by 24 hour on site supervision. A full complement of cross country fences and show jumps is available. Tannoch is set in the heart of the Lanarksire countryside and is 5 minutes from the A80 and 15 minutes from Glasgow.
The establishment is a British Horse Society approved Riding School and Livery Yard and has a licence to operate from North Lanarkshire Council. It is also a NVQ training Centre.
Dawn and the staff would like to extend an invitation to both novice and experienced riders to come and visit Tannoch to view the facilities or phone for further details.
